Highway Gothic (formally known as the FHWA Series fonts or the Standard Alphabets for Highway Signs) is a sans-serif typeface developed by the United States Federal Highway Administration and used for road signage in the Americas, including the U.S., Canada, and Latin American countries, as well as in Asian countries influenced by American signage practices, including the Philippines, China. In the case of the FHWA alphabet series, fonts tend to be cheap because dimensioned drawings for the glyphs for all of the alphabet series, including Series A but excluding Series E Modified/Lowercase, have been around since 1945, along with published spacing tables. The official designations for these typefaces are 'FHWA Series B', 'FHWA Series C', etc. Super smash bros crash ds. This has caught on to the point where even FHWA occasionally refers to their own typefaces in this manner.
